Silk stretch satin is a satin-weave blend of mulberry silk with spandex, keeping the luminous satin face while adding stretch and recovery, supplied greige or dyed to order from 14 to 28 momme.
Silk stretch satin keeps the luminous, glossy face of satin while adding spandex for recovery and ease of movement. The satin weave gives it the liquid sheen and fluid drape of classic silk satin; the spandex forgives the cut, so fitted dresses, slips and occasionwear move with the body instead of against it.
We supply silk stretch satin from 14 to 28 momme, in a 140 cm width. The silk content stays dominant — typically around 94% silk with 6% spandex, or 93% silk with 7% spandex — so the fabric reads and wears as satin, with the spandex there only to add stretch and recovery.
Silk stretch satin is supplied greige for your own color development, or dyed to order from a standard shade card or your custom color.
